The Ninga 600 came about in a strange turn of events in 1985.
As I was employed at the Lynnwood Cycle Barn I met a young man who was sent up by the sales staff to look at and purchase some riding gear.
He had just purchased a new Honda 500 Interceptor and from that day forward the story grew more interesting.
I don't even recall his name as one day he arrived and one day he was gone.
Seemed his parents had died when he was a baby and left an insane trust for him when he turned 19 or 20. When I say a lot of money, this kid had bags of it.
I ended up building Mad Max replica car for him starting from a 70 Dodge Challenger, at the same time I built the Ninga 600.
He also owned a slew of dirtbikes, an FZ 750 and a few other streetbikes along with multiple sets of leathers, helmets, gloves.
At any rate after he bought a Yamaha FZ 750. He left the Ninja with me and that was that.
This bike was a huge step up from the Interceptor in terms of power. Lots of grunt and it handled pretty nice. But from there I got the bug for a 750 and I to succumbed to the Yamaha FZ 750 which was my next toy.
The final outcome for the Niga was that one day he came by my place, grabbed all of his stuff, the bike and I never saw him again.
