In October 2007 Tim Whitaker asked me if I would build his 2007 CBR 600 RR. It was at this point that I had decided that this would be my last motorcycle project. My move to karting had changed my priorities and I want to pursue that business now. However, Tim is a good friend of mine and I decided to fulfill his dream of building a kick ass street/track bike. This is the finished bike.

We basically started off with a stock bike and if you look to the right of this page there is a list of the products installed on the bike. The disassembly and re-assembly of the bike took fifty one hours. He drove up from Iowa in May 2008 to pick up the finished product and to head off to the now famous Motorcycle Addicts three day trackday extravaganza at Grattan Raceway.

We recently spent the weekend with Tim at the Indy MotoGP where he was able (through special tickets) run close to 30 laps around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway MotoGP track. He told me the bike ran and performed flawlessly and that he now has a set of heavily scuffed knee pucks to add to his ticket stub and program which he plans to frame and hang on his wall. He also mentioned that the bike drew rave reviews on the work I completed for him. Sweet!
