Jim in Florida

I've spent a lot of time in Florida. Both of my parents now live in the area. My mom in Ormond Beach and my in-laws in Naples.

This place is beach heaven, warm water, decent surf and aways a great time. I have many friends who have moved south and Florida is one of the areas they all dig. It is a very different experience from theWest coast/California. Florida is far and away a cheaper vacation.

I've spent a lot of time in Florida and have pretty much driven the whole state. There is a lot to see and do as well, Disney, Cocoa Beach, Sebring, Daytona, Bike Week, Naples and Key West.

Karoline and I were married in Naples, a wonderful place on the southwest coast and then we honeymooned in the Keys.

You want to end up at the bottom of America head to Key West. Itis an awesome drive down, there are a lot of bridges to cross and you'll find a nice laid back atomesphere. Key West has alot to do, of course Duval Street is cool, a lot of bars and shops. And the great writer Ernest Hemingways house is there. Sunsets in Florida are sweet, but the Key West sunset is beautiful.

Of course for racing theres Daytona (every kind of racing you can imagine), Sebring and Homstead. Florida is also home to two of the all time great motocross/supercross riders of all time Ricky Carmichael and James "Bubba" Stewart.

The top links on the right have some pictures and a small write upon some of the places I've hung out in Florida. As well I've taken a few cruise ships out of Miami to many south sea islands. Cruise ships are a pretty sweet way to relax, vacation and wind up on a warm sandy island in themiddle of no where. The food (at least on the cruises I have been on) is top notch and there is a lot to keep you busy while you are on the boat..
