Please note: the site, many of the pages have a lot of photos and take a minute to load. Once loaded it is very easy to navigate the photos and you get a shot via thumbnail of what you will see in a 400 x 350 window inside of the page. Within the updates below I usually set links to any new pages that I've added to the site. these links are highlighted blue, simply click on them to go to that particular page. :....09.21.2008 - Karoline and I just returned from another mega road trip! During which we spent some time in Michigan Upper Peninsula. From there we spent two days at the Rotax Max Challenge which was held at the awesome USA Raceway in Shawno Wisconsin. And from there we traveled down to Indianapolis for 4 days to attend the Indianapolis MotoGP and the Indy Mile flat track races. We had a great time and shot close to 7,000 photos. Check out the pages and photos on the site!

I've also added the Tim Whitakers 2008 Honda CBR600RR build that I did for him over the past winter. He just returned from the Indy MotoGP where he was able to run close to 30 laps on the MotoGP on Monday following the race and he said the bike ran flawlessly as well as drew many great comments during the MotoGP weekend!

I'll be back on the track in a few weeks for some more fun in the kart. after which the cold and snow will be approaching and I'll finally be able to finish my basement,

:....08.25.2008 - I spent another day with Marshall and the LSR Motorsports team at MRP adjusting my latest interest "Karting". Weather was perfect and the day was awesome. If you would like to check out my write up on the day CLICK HERE.

In two weeks we are off to visit the Rotax Nationals in Shawano Wisconsin, from there we are headed down to the Indianapolis Moto GP. Stay tuned for a write up and photos from both events.

I am also working on a page covering the Woodward Dream Cruise which is the world’s largest one-day automotive event, drawing 1.5 million people and 40,000 classic cars each year from around the globe. This event covers ten cities and if you are in to classic cars, this is the most insane (actually 3 day) event on the planet. The link will be under the Photography section as soon as I finish the page.

I've also written a couple of new Blog articles on my blog.

:...02.15.2008 - After some forty years of riding motorcycles, working from inside and outside of the industry I have finally decided finally decided to retire from motorcycling for a while, maybe forever. Unless something comes along that intrigues me, I think I that I have finally gotten to where it wasn't as much fun as doing other things like karting, traveling and hanging out with my wife and my cat.

I'll admit that being retired is nice, sleeping in, just chillin, but after a couple of years I'm a little bored. I thought taking a job last summer working on replica cars would be fun, the downside was that the job payed welfare wages, literally. But I thought it would be interesting. After a short stint working at Race Car Replicas it was not even close to what I thought it would be. The owner, the working enviroment, the welfare wages and no benefits didn't help and so I left.

Over the summer I interviewed with the Cycle Barn Motorsports group in Seattle and turned down an offer to work with them. Instead I have returned to school for the next year or so to get a pile of Microsoft and Cisco certifications. I may then persue something in the computer industry. In between I have done a major overhaul on this site, cleaning up code and trying to get all of the pages done as well writing on my blog. By the way, If you hit my blog, feel free to comment on any of the articles. More site updates and additions to come.

I will be posting a lengthy write up on my blog about our running of Trackoholics and my thoughts on the general direction of the motorcycle industy which has taken a very corporate direction and with the current economic situation, things aren't looking healthy for the industry in 2008.

I've started to seriously add to the section under the Family link and then under Jim and Karolines Vacations. There you will find a ton of our photography from or many trips around the country. I have added some text commentary about the areas and what was worth seeing. If your looking to take a trip to chill or a hiking/climbing trip I think you'll find something interesting on those pages. I will also be adding some world trip stuff in the near future.
