As I said, last year we decided to shut down Trackoholics. During that time I had decided to leave my full time job and take a year off of work to chill, hang out with Karoline and the cat. I also decided to go back to school to finish up a slew of my computer certifications and to persue my degree. So in 2006 I really cut back on riding and traveling. I spent more time working on the detail stuff for Ti2TT as we were growing in leaps and bounds and needed a much better website as well as the continued hunt for sponsorships.

Shaun and I finally got a store front opened in Visa, California appropriately name Trackoholics West and so it's been a busy year.

One thing I have done is to spend more time on the kart track. It's been a nice change of pace for me and exploring tracks and different karts has been awesome. It's given me some time to figure out what direction I want to go with them and what my next move might be. I spent a day with Sandy Rainey (500cc World Champion Wayne Raineys dad) and another 500cc World Champio Eddie Lawson while Eddie was running his hand built Yamaha 250 shifter kart and got a lot of insight as to why Eddie chooses to run karts over bikes or racecars. A little thing he called FUN FACTOR and cost.

I ended up doing two events with Ti2TT at Spring Mountain. I love the track at Spring Mountain, it is well maintained and has an awesome layout. Three Ti2TT events were planned at Spring Mountain, however the owners cancelled the last event when constuction on the West track made it impossible to hold our last event of the year. However by that time I had pretty much determined that my riding days were coming to a close and did not sweat it much.
